Electrolux oven - grill not working but fan oven working

Hi all
I've had a issue with my Electrolux inbuilt oven today. I was baking my pizza and the electricity tripped. I put it back on but noticed the grill was no longer working. The fan oven does work, as does the light and the fan, but not the grill.
Do I need to just replace the grill element? If so, it seems attached to the back of the oven with a sort of screw that doesn't appear like I can unscrew with just a screwdriver, as it has not much jutting out to hold on to really.
Can any one help explain how I can fix this?
Thanks

You should be able to release that from the front with little trouble and then check out the element. It's almost certain that that is the issue. But those screws can be very corroded and you may need to replace it after.
Replacement are cheap and readily available from ebay and such like, but avoid the cheapest. Many brands share the same parts bin so sourcing 1 shouldn't be hard.
Just be careful though, when you pull the element out to expose the push on spade connectors, once released they have a habit of pulling back behind the front panel and it's very difficult to fish them back out. Tie something to the wires before you disconnect them.
Don't grill yourself by the way, make sure the thing is isolated.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Thanks cyclonebri1.
The technician who helped me previously with another faulty appliance has quoted £56 + parts (which might be £20 he says, but from looking online on the Electrolux website, it's £35).
Having never used the fan oven before (I always used the grill - never knew the fan oven existed/did what it does, let alone that it was good enough if not better than just the grill!!), I used it yesterday and it seemed to work perfectly well.
I'm now thinking rather than risk something with my DIY (besides spending £35 for the part) or paying £90 (in total) to get it fixed by a qualified technician, I should just let it be and use the fan oven.0
