Clocking is actually easier now than it ever was.

Even the brand new S Class can be clocked and you would need to be extremely clever to spot it, nothing will show on diagnostics.

precisely, very clean cars with back seats never been sat in. Everyone's at it, even main dealers.

Also some lease cars have mileage surcharges which get fixed by canny fleet managers.

Are you happy with the car? Is it in decent nick?

Do oil, filter and spark plugs now.

If it is potentially overdue a cambelt/water pump, do that too.

Then chalk it up to experience.

I'm interested to know how you know the service history is faked though - what is the giveaway?
