This new message appeared on X-O's website:Our Website is Changing
We are delighted to announce that we will be launching our new online trading platform this weekend. Our current platform will be taken down this Friday after we close. If you have bookmarked the login page for our platform you will need to update this once the new platform is live.
Users of our current platform will need to complete the activation process on our new platform. Our existing trading website will no longer be available, so you must activate your account on our new site in order to continue to view your account online.
In addition to an updated design, our forthcoming site offers a range of new features, as well as improved security measures.
To activate your account on our new trading platform you will need to have your account number, date of birth and email address to hand. Please take the time to login on our current site and ensure the email address we store for you is up to date by visiting the Account Administration section.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly

Let's hope that it's better than the MSE revamp!
Launches on a weekend. Good idea! As a non trading day. So can always fall back to old system on Monday if all goes wrong.0 -
Has anyone found out how to do the activation thing yet?
I think we have to wait till their new trading platform is up and running and then complete the activation process on the new site.
It says "We will email you again shortly before the new site is live with instructions on how to register" so best to ensure your email address is up to date.

X-O have launched their new trading website:In order to begin using our new trading website you will need to activate your account. Please note that our previous website is no longer available. The activation process takes around 5 minutes to complete. You will need to have your account number, date of birth and email address to hand.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure all of your accounts are linked under a single login, you may need to repeat the process if you have multiple accounts.
Please take the time to activate your account and familiarise yourself with the new site to ensure you are able to trade when you need to.
Any open limit orders you might have will not be affected by the website change.
I managed to Activate my account (setup new username/password, security Q's and security phrase) and login on the new site OK.
Like before I can view my S&S Isa account and my nominee accounts under a single login. I suppose the real test will come when I go to place a trade!
When you go to login it asks you for your username and password and for added security it now asks for 3 characters from your 'security phrase' before you get to view your account.

Didn't like by security phrase so now currently in limbo. Don't you love system upgrades.
As the CEO of GM famously said of Microsoft. If he built cars like companies build software he'd be out of business.0 -
New Log-in site seems to have now crashed and burned! I was halfway through completing activation so I now don't know whether I will have to use all my original passwords etc or the new ones!
If it ain't broke.... !Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0 -

At least its Friday night. Time to fix the issues or restore if necessary.0 -
Works great...

Putting into the activation details and submitting just takes me straight to the login page. Never mind, might try over the weekend or just leave it until next week.0
