    ABRS GC= British riding schools grooms certificate
    Bt = Baronet (hereditary)

    Dont know GCrLJ, most the people who use it seem to have masonic type connections but could be coincidence

    If the Bt is Baronet, wouldn't the title simply be "Sir" and be done with it?

    Fair enough.

    Generally, if you ask the bank nicely, they will change the name on the card to whatever form you like within reason. The space is limited (I think something like 25 characters) though.

    I have a friend who's first name is Matthew, but he prefers Matt, so asked the bank to change it - his card shows "Mr Matt J Smith" rather than "Mr Matthew J Smith" now. Some banks would only show "Mr MJ Smith" anyway. I personally hate seeing my first name in full on a card so generally ask them to do Title, First Initial and Surname.

    I personally have post nominals (not Bt I hasten to add) but I don't ever use them except on my CV. I certainly wouldn't want them on my debit/credit card, but I suppose it's personal preference.

    Given the character limit, if you have a double-barreled surname, you may be stuffed.

    I could hazard a guess at a couple of them!

    What with pre-noms, post noms, the aristocracy, freemasonry, and many middle names, you now also have a double-barrelled surname to boot?

    School's out for summer folks!

    not in this country; it's a brotherhood, an organisation that just a few years ago was almost banned from the judiciary and the police - if it were a religion that would not have been even considered.

    You could get the first half printed on one card and the second half printed on a second card. Then sellotape them together.

    Ok, that's not a serious suggestion. With credentials like yours you can probably organise something better.
