I am thinking of upgrading from ME to XP pro. I hear so many horror stories about failed attempts and losing drivers etc. Should I attempt it?
Is my laptop compatible with only 384 ram and spare 5 gig?

We did this a few months ago on our desktop PC at home with absolutely no problems. Before with ME it crashed on average once a day, now it has crashed maybe once every six months! Windows XP is a much more stable operating system, I would highly recommend upgrading.
(Though don't blame me if it doesn't work!student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0 -
Should be fine with your spec. I don't know of anyone that has had an upgrade go wrong.
Sure there is someone that will prove me wrong thoughEver stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
