Hi guys
My wife and i have just yesterday bought a black leather and dark grey como 3 seater and 2 seater couch,i think it will ho fine with our current decor but i could be wrong and therefore would like to decorate before they are delivered
My wife doesnt think they will go and would like to decorate but is unsure of a colour scheme.
Any advice,tips,sugestions are all welcome.
Any pics of your livingrooms as well if you have black leather furniture would also be great.
I will post a few pics in the 1st post of how the room looks just now

Sorry, I agree with your wife. My preference is always to have light neutral walls and add color through accessories. Also makes an update much easier.0

Hiya, I have cream or white painted rooms through the whole house.
Lament floors down stairs and carpet upstarts.
My sitting room has blue accessories in small cloths, cushions and some blue candles. The curtains are blue willow pattern.
Blue photo frames on the wall.
This room gets the Wow factor! a soon as a new or has not seen it for a wile walks in.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I found patterns on your wallpaper and carpet make the room look too busy, especially with a small room like this.
It's better to have plain carpet & wallpaper with very little details and then put features on the room by decoration items and pictures.0 -
An awful lot going on in your lounge, so much so that you almost miss your lovely fire.
I think if you maybe kept the carpet but had the walls neutral it would look fine.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
I have black sofas which came with red cushions so I have 3 cream coloured walls and the feature wall is the same red as the cushions then I have used red accessories in the room (inc curtains) to carry the colour scheme through.xxx Nikki xxx0

i have a black leather sofa and chair in a small living room. We have neutral walls -but 1 'feature wall' -at the mo this is olive green, we then co-ordinate the room with accesories -cushions,pictures,vase etc, curtains. Its really easy to change if I get fed up !
If your room were my room -and i was keeping the carpet -i would neutralise the walls ( sorry i do like a bit of magnolia !) -then pick a colour in the carpet for the accesories -maybe the raspberry or pale grey colour ? use this for curtains and cushions ?0 -
Personaly I'd ditch the carpet too, but if you neutralise the walls it will probably be bearable. If you keep the carpet, I'd go for the raspberry colour for accessories - grey would be OTT for me, I think it will need warming up.0

I agree with above poster, paint all walls cream and have plain raspberry accessories, and a plain rug on top of the carpet to tone it down a bit.0
