                    Hi Guys,
I've seen several threads giving cheap accommodation in Barcelona, however, they mostly seem to be about double rooms only.
I'm looking for some room only accommodation, for 3 nights from 7th August for 2 adults, 2 children.
Don't mind basic, as long as it's clean. The cheapest I've come across so far is 200E per night ( ) - if anyone can get that drastically down I'll jump for joy.
Any advice - directions you can give would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks so much

            hi we stayed here

Very basic and very cheap. No breakfast. I really loved it as the rooms had little wrought iron balconies you looked out on the street. It was very clean and they had nice bathrooms. The rooms were very basic but the location was brilliant you couldn't stay anywhere more central. We paid £175 for 4 nights for 4 of us.But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0

This place happens to be fully booked http://www.spain-holiday.com/rentals/accommodations/properties/1572/Barcelona/34/Barcelona/7/Catalunya/Barcelona.html
but it was €95 per night, and we have stayed there twice in the last couple 18 months. Double bedroom and another bedroom with bunk beds.
Apartments are plentiful in Barcelona and good value0

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
PM me if you want a 4% discount code.
I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.
 Hope that helps
PS - I'm not connected to this website in any way, and I don't gain anything from this post. I also found the discount code on another forum.0

We've just booked a family room through accorhotels.com. Its at the Novotel Cornella which is actually in the suburbs of Barcelona but there are metro and bus stops within a couple of hundred metres. It's costing us 174 euros for two nights in August. The reason we chose this hotel is that it's one of the few that have family rooms and children stay and get free breakfast under the age of 16. The breakfasts are 14 euros each for adults. It also has a small swimming pool and parking. The downside is you may be a bit cramped as its a queen size bed plus sofa bed for the kids but we're only staying there to break our journey so it doesn't really matter to us. If you look on Trip advisor it has quite good reviews.
 Plus 6% back through Quidco!0
