Hi. Guy at work is selling a smeg fab28 for £195, said its due to getting a new integrated fridge and is in full working order. Normally sells at about £1000 . Just had a new freezer door and in good condition. Anyone have any experience of these? Reviews?

Thanks x

They don't normally sell for that price previously owned, Surprised it has had parts they are posh fridge freezers, my Ariston worked flawlessly for 24 years until I couldn't get a new thermostat for it, seems worth the price though (delivered of course) .
  • Don't think the Fab28 has great reviews, particularly the ice box doors which tend to snap off. If you Google it you'll find loads.

We have the Fab30 which is the next one up. We've had it about 7 years now and it's never given me a day of trouble.

I had one but had to get rid of it as the freezer kept over freezing and drove me insane. Other than that, you're basically paying for the design!

I have one. It's beautiful I love it. The freezer does tend to over frost though. But it is beautiful. haha I go for looks over design sometimes ;-)

Newer fridge/freezers have higher energy ratings and save considerable amounts on energy bills.

We replaced our old fridge and freezer a while ago and are saving quite a bit on bills these days.

My new one , seems to fit that description, it's an A+ rated , the freezer doesn't appear to over freeze and it's so quiet, it was only a basic curry's own brand, I did want a red smeg or electrolux, it still may happen (red) when I finally revamp my kitchen.
