noddle removed defaulted account

Hi all, noodle have temporily removed a defaulted account as the OC has not responded to a dispute I raised regarding the fact the default was added whilst the fos was investigating a complaint on the account. Can anyone tell me if I can get the other cra's to do the same until the OC replies.

Thanks

It is rare for the credit reference agencies to agree to remove an entry/default that is under dispute, however they should agree to either mark it as disputed or you could add a notice of correction to say that it is under dispute.

Equifax removed a contended entry when eon didn't respond within 28 days, but they said they could put it back on if the company responded, which they didn't in my case.

When I disputed an entry with Capital One via Noddle they temporarily hid it from my file until Capital One responded.

Once Capital One replied and stated (at the time) that the reporting was correct, it reappeared.

I do vaguely remember seeing a purple circle next to it with "ND."

I have a default and getting it removed from the CRA's has become a pet project over the last 12 months or so :wall:

Noddle - removed the entry eight months ago after no response received from the bank for 28 days.
Equifax - removed the entry just a month or so ago after they decided that the bank's response wasn't 'satisfactory' - took a lot of time and emails to push them into doing that however.
Experian - still working on them...

Noddle and Equifax have both pointed out that they may reinstate the entry in the future but, in Noddle's case, after eight months my guess/hope is that neither they nor the bank have any motivation to do look at it again.
