Housing benefit - smi

Can anyone tell me what " mortgage wiped out by non dependants" means in a rejecting letter from dwp for smi.
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.

Did they use the words 'wiped out' by non dependants - doesn't sound like DWP language!

If you apply for SMI then amounts are deducted according to the income of the non dependants that are living with you.

If you live alone then this sounds like they have made a mistake.

Was anyone living with you when you first made the application?

Did you actually write and tell them that she had moved out?
