Can anyone tell me what " mortgage wiped out by non dependants" means in a rejecting letter from dwp for smi.
I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.

Did they use the words 'wiped out' by non dependants - doesn't sound like DWP language!
If you apply for SMI then amounts are deducted according to the income of the non dependants that are living with you.

If you live alone then this sounds like they have made a mistake.

Just spoke to them, they made the decision with out waiting for my response to what happened to her as she was on previous claim...........agent suggested I call back Friday to chase up as it takes 7 days for correspondence to work way through system - sent 12th august confirming info they wanted - decision letter written 13th.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0
