Goodnight :wave:0 -
My doorbell just started ringing!! No way was I opening the door at this time of night so I put the light on at the back door and there is no-one there. It kept ringing whilst I was stood there and there is zero chance anyone was stood outside pressing the bell. The bell is wired into the house so it's not like someone has taken a remote control bellpush off the door and is sitting round the corner with it to freak me out
It must be a short/fault so I've just taken the batteries out...but that was fun. Heart pounding over a freaking door bell:rotfl:
Oooo... it's a ghost!:D:D:rotfl:
Just :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:over yournow.
It's probably a cat or the wind or something or, as you say, some batteries. I had an alarm that ran out of battery power once, kept beeping every few minutes, couldn't find out what it was, driving me mad, I thought it was something coming from next door, then it seemed to be coming from the attic - turned out it was this flippin' alarm!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Just checked cos/cs for new deals. Nothing that excites me but worth a look before you go shopping
New tcb snapnsave deals due on the 2nd and new ST deals on the 3rd
Between the 3 there will hopefully be something decent but it's not off to a great start
Now i'm awayApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Don't forget, it's a new month so another
25 CC points up for grabs
https://www.tescoviews.com/
and an even easier 50 nectar points
https://criticalsurveys.co.uk/script...i?survey=5050w
if you don't recognise/trust the second link don't worry. This "Make it Mine" survey is linked from the Homebase homepage:
http://www.homebase.co.uk/
I didn't trust it when I first saw it but it's all above board
T&Cs:
50 Nectar points will be awarded to all customers with registered Nectar accounts who complete the Make It Mine Survey. You must provide your correct Nectar card number in order to receive the points. No Purchase necessary. The number of entries per person is not limited but the maximum reward is limited to 50 points per person, per month, regardless of how many entries they have made. 50 points will be added to your account within 28 days of completing the survey. The offer of 50 points does apply to Homebase and Argos staff. Limited time only. Homebase reserve the right to withdraw, alter or decline the offer at any time.
Oh cheers!:T:T:T I hope you keep posting this every month as I remembered it at the beginning of (what is now) last month:eek: but had just forgotten it again. It certainly does pay to complete this each month.:T I'll go and do the survey again, for the 'new month':D:). (EDIT: Think I'll complete it well after 6 a.m., just to give these 'normal souls', who devise these sorts of things, chance to move their timeclocks over into a new month. Nectar Search, for example, still saying "Max points collected" for me, doesn't seem to change over till it's daytime. People generally don't run midnight-midnight do they?:()0 -
I really am going to bed but just have to give a big :kisses3: to Morgy before I do. I see you lurkin lady
Hope you are well :A x0 -
Tvs S earlier, I noticed S were about £20 cheaper on the whole list of comparables (of course you would not get all of that back in one shop:() but, when I added non-comparables that were cheaper in T and (supposed) 'good value' in T, the difference appeared to narrow. Obviously a lot of expensive fillers being added there!
I don't suppose T include battery chargers in the items they match? I suspect they are not treated as "grocery"? I found a Duracell 4 Hour Battery Charger with 2 AA Batteries at £15 in T and £7.49 in S. Not whether that is worth £7.49 or not, branded stuff again!:( Surely a generic charger could work? Anyway, most likely best bought in S.
For Tvs A, and possibly Svs A, I noticed there were a number of Tommee Tippee items on cheaper (sometimes substantially cheaper) prices in A at the moment - not sure if any of those are found to be working on T PP? I did find some other 'good' prices in A at the moment when looking at N/A fillers for Avs S. Those Cadbury Pot tempters could be used Tvs A for example (£2 vs £1), not that £1 is a decent price at all - as I said, they are often (IMO money-wasting) tempters! If we all stuck to S/P/Eday and didn't buy brands, they would never make any money in the supermarkets and the price of all the S/P/Eday items (which would then be all they sold) would undoubtedly increase!! As regards anything else for 'vs A', I couldn't add any of it to any list, such is the way with msm these days:(, and so it will have to wait now I'm afraid! I also found some motor oil at £6 in T, but £15 or £16 in A although OOS - obviously, as non-grocery, that would be a 'buy in T' (if needed and... I suspect someone will beat me again on this, and find something better and more money-saving, you always do!:T).
