    Avs Morries

A very long day today, but I'm fine and relaxing. I've done the Welsh price collection this time. Anyone who is in, or near to, Hertfordshire, can you please pop into Morries in Letchworth and let us have all the information from there. TIA:rotfl:. And aau1 can do the Scottish collection for us in Morries in Stewartfield, East Kilbride and find us all the pricing information in there.

I now have other things on, and then I'll return to the information from today, so I'll be back a bit later with lots more information. The main one to tell you at the moment is that the price on the Dates looks like it's gone up from £1.39 to £1.49, so that may be increasing on the APG for M soon. Please, anyone who is in that area, can you find out the price today on the Bird's Eye Select Mixed Vegetables (690g) (frozen packs) in M in Letchworth ('price collection store'). And in M in Stewartfield if you are there instead. There is a good (potential glitch) reason for asking and this will be very useful information to know. Thank you very much!

Meanwhile, a womble from this afternoon. M mbuy on Raspberry and Custard Doughnuts (any 2 for £1) not being picked up on whatever price collection applied when this was checked (yesterday's or last Wednesday's?):

I picked up the womble from the A in the same town as the 'APG price collection store' M. At least I am as certain as I can be that they did do a price collection in that store in the first week of this month. I'm as sure as can be, from already publicly available information, that they were there earlier this month, whether or not they were now there today. The Doughnuts, at least today, were clearly marked up as being 2 for £1. So were those cheeses that they did pick up the mix and match on - they were all in a shelf together - although the cheese result presumably from the collection result in England?

Doubtless more information later - such as a mistake:eek: earlier by myself on the Oxo Cubes, information about why one of the Sure deodorants may have returned N/A, information as to which Air Wicks I found in the "price collection" store, which they may or may not have picked up:doh::( and which may or may not compare, information about plums and why they may not be appearing, about wine pricing, and about possible N/As for Pork Luncheon Meat and S/P Beef Curry this week:(, and more, later!:D

I've come home from the allotment today with my first cauliflower and peas :j :j :j

waiting for caul is, dh put his in late
    Yay :j:j

Other than what I did in the garden this year, I was too late for onions and runner beans :( but I don't really like runner beans anyway so I don't feel like I'm missing out on them :o

I brought home a lettuce too :D I've put Christmas potatoes in today, as well as broccoli, purple sprouting broccoli and kale :j

I've only had the keys for 3 months. I've got 19 different things growing there and that's only on half the plot :j:T

You have done exceptionally well considering. On the 2nd visit to lottie today dh tested the sweet corn :j:j. It is ready :D. had to change my plans for tea and using a cabbage. Had corn on the cob instead. My it was so sweet and tasty :D

    :D:D

Also notice the quote from the analyst at Jefferies, which does suggest that most people who use the Sun vouchers do not simply buy £5 of fruit and veg. and then leave - instead they go to Morries, perhaps instead of going to a rival store, and then buy a weekly shop including fruit and veg. - a shop that many of them would have done elsewhere if it were not for the incentive of the fiver off the fruit and veg.

    Great article Savvy.

    :)

Dunno about the rest of the Elite but my weekly shopping is done at Arseda, Tosscers, Sainsboobies, Moorisons, Mr Marksies-spenices and sometimes Waities!

Only to be spent in Home & Garden section

At the moment I'm researching cat trees - have nowhere to put another one but the cats will be able to see out our high windows ;)

Cat food was a no no as triple price so no saving
