This is probably old news but Ive just been onto mysupermarket website on the main computer- not looked at the ipad yet and when I was trying to look up the price of Jamie Dodgers I noticed down the list that poundland and Iceland are also now listed :T

I was thinking about Iceland last night, as another of those forgotten places we ought to be checking more often esp for muggle shops for basics

1stly High Street Vouchers - not sure if the £1 per order still applies? If not then its worth getting 3v cards from Tesco as you can buy the Love2shop vouchers from HSV and you can choose vouchers as small as £1 - so ideal if you just do milk, bread and frozen veg shops.

My OH has a works based scheme and I can get Love2shop with a 7.75% discount :T Better than the 5% cashback I get with my credit card so I've got a few of those. And Iceland is next to Asda for me so only one lot of parking costs.

Ive only got OHs chips on the list so far unless I can figure out some things for cashback and try to work it so I can go to Asda :D

My nearest asda now do c&c:T:T only 1.4 miles from my house:cool:

C and C has arrived at our Little A (ex Netto) too :). The potential downside is I understand the orders for Little As will be picked elsewhere due to the limited range instore, so no chance to check any glitchy items, but it will be convenient enough for people.

Meanwhile for T we have no grocery C and C for 13 or so miles (next City!), no working instore scanners for over 4 years (despite them being in one of our three nearest stores all that time ... Wasting electricity switched on but not actually working!) and personal scanners are apparently not planned for our nearest stores either :(.

Price collectors will have an easy task for Poundland ... even I could keep up with manually doing that one :).

The £1 processing charge was dropped earlier this month unless they have reintroduced it. I am currently quickly using 3V with PayPal ... ;).

We also established some stores have been known to give change if you use Love2Shop paper vouchers which may be another way to get vouchers back into cash.

£5 voucher in Thursday's Mirror for a £45 spend at Aldi

    Thank you.

Although vouchers are always welcome, you can tell times have changed when in the past you could get £5 off £30 then £5 off £40 vouchers - we are now up to £45 minimum spend.

Out of interest, does inflation take into account downsizing of products within the typical basket of products? I think if it did the true inflation figure over recent years would be significantly higher than the official data suggests.

    Good morning Elite
The wanderer returns :D. A hot sunny morning here in Suffolk, still in pjs and making a muggle shopping list to refill the fridge as ds4 was home alone for 3 days. The 4th day (Monday)he went with friends to Notting Hill carnival. He and a girl got separated from the other 2, phones died and they ended up having to get the train home :rotfl:

Hope you all have a good Wednesday shopping, I'll be going this afternoon, when my joints ease a bit more. Fingers are swollen and painful.

Hugs to those in need x
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Something I've been thinking about as well - I wonder if Iceland give change from love2shop vouchers?

I've been getting the Morrison's paper vouchers from OHs works scheme and these do give change but I don't think you can get these from HSV

Sainsburys? - the works scheme gives a top up card so I've not tried paper vouchers.
I think I would prefer the paper vouchers as my top up card stopped working the other day so I got the balance transferred and I then had to send for a new one

    Hi kimmy,

Poppypopster was stopped in T from using her APG as the manager had spoken to KIM from Asda who said they should not be accepting them.

The hunt is on to find kim :)

So a manager from T has spoken to Kim in A who said T should not be accepting A vouchers ... Kim is likely in A Marketing team and in one brief conversation with an ill informed T manager has managed to torpedo Ts latest grand plan customer grab initiative :).
