How clean and tidy is an almost all male uni house ? Eldest child also had girl shared houses and they were slums even from week one
Youngest son shares with 3 older lads and their house is immaculate
I also lived in an almost all male household - 5 - very very messy
OH, two sons and 2 black tom cats :rotfl:
Last year all I can describe it as was a tip. Except for DD's bedroom all the communal areas were messy and a very dirty kitchen everytime I went. Twice I cleaned it up for them but refused before they left. They only got half their deposit back so I am guessing he had to pay cleaners to sort some things like the holes from the dartboard in the living room. The landlord was pretty laid back though, I did meet him once. It wasn't the best of flats to start with.
This year the house is immaculate before they start so I hope it will put pressure on them to keep it like it. They have been provided with a brand new hoover, a steam mop, squeezy mop, dustpan and brush etc so I think they are expected to keep it in order.
They decided it was really nice and worth paying extra to rent so we will see, as I said earlier the landlord is going round to meet them all tomorrow evening, somehow I think the law is going to be laid. (is that the right saying?)

Congrats Legendmum..I know it was on here months ago but I found the Cussons 'Mum & Me' gift pack in our T's yesterday for the first time - cost £1 - voucher inside for £1 ..
I know it's not the biggest & best thing, but if you rinse & repeat you'll get all the muslins you need, plus some dinky bath stuff, for an initial investment of £1:rotfl:
Pip
I thought the vouchers expired at the end of JulyLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

I shared with 2 blokes and another girl when I was at uni. One of the blokes was a total clean freak(I wasn't back then.....that came much later) so all the communal areas were fine courtesy of him
The other bloke was ok but the other female was a total grot bag  I'm still friends with her and she would agree :rotfl::rotfl: Her room was disgusting! I won't go into details
We still laugh about it now, she's still a bit airy fairy. She's the one who just recently had a baby. I went to visit her in her 'glass waterside apartment' before she had the baby. I reminded her that all that glass would be covered in grubby fingerprints in a years time:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
.........she's moved now  :rotfl:0
