A question that I always ask people: Is it socially acceptable to go to the cinema on your own?

Absolutely, if it's a good film I never remember who I went with :)

Only if you sit RIGHT NEXT to a couple in the back few rows, and keep turning and smiling at them all through the film :D

Don't know how you lot stay up so late, I'm knackered!

Unfortunately I have to stay up to collect DS, who is on his way home from a weekend in Germany with the Cubs. We had a text mid afternoon to say they had missed their planned sailing and were getting a later one, and it would be roughly midnight, but heard nothing since then.

Not if it's an autism friendly screening :D........the only type Ive been to lately :o

But in real life YES! why not? I think it's 'socially acceptable' to do just about anything these days. I have walked into pubs and felt comfortable on my own, I don't think I would have 10 years ago

I'm single and have been for a long time. I don't go often, but I have been to the cinema on my own, and haven't felt odd doing it.
