Second year health and social care level 3 BTEC question

Options
Hello

From September 2013 to June 2014, I managed to complete my BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care at D* D* grade, but was unfortunately unable to progress due to being unable to afford the travel money to and from college (also rent money) For over a year, I have been trying and failing to find work so I could go back to college, I had up until the beginning of this month to let the college know if I was coming back (they said that I would be entitled to £30 a month bursary total due to being 20... trouble being it's paid monthly, and my travel would cost me £6.50 a day and I knew basically the only way for me to go back to college was to successfully secure a part time job, though confidence was not helped at college when a career's adviser told me that the chances of me getting work were slim due to having Asperger's Syndrome :( ).... (had interviews... 5 of them) my luck finally turned around as of Thursday this week, and got a verbal offer of a full time position as a support worker, (though I am going to still be needing to claim Job seekers in the meantime)

Anyway, my main point being, if this job works out, would I be able to go back to college at some stage in the future? or would I have to start all over again?

cheers in advance :)

Can I ask you how many units you completed?
If it was 6 units, then you achieved the Sub Diploma, which equals 1 A Level. You have to complete 12 units to achieve the Diploma.

If you are not registered again for BTEC in Sep 14, you wont be able to 'top-up' your course at a later date. New assessment rules for BTEC commence Sep 2014 and there will be new specifications on the horizon too.

If you continue down the support worker route, there are other qualifications you could consider doing.
  • I did complete all of the units first off :) 9 :) ah that is a shame :( but I shall look into other options :) thanks!
