New Kitchen Nightmare

Having been around 4 kitchen places today, I have realised what a minefield this is. Been in Kutchenhaus, Better Living, Wren and a local one called Fineline. We have sort of come up with what we want, and whilst in Wren, agreed too have someone call around for the measuring service. However, having a look online, it looks like this was possibly a bad option, as they have some very bad reviews.
Can any one recommend a good kitchen company or supplier, that has a good reputation, and are easily contactable. Is it best to get a separate supplier? Or is this another minefield.
Many Thanks
Paul

3 out of the 4 places you have been are are probably the worst places to buy a kitchen from based on their terrible reputation for customer service, poor products and no design skills to speak of.
Get recommendations for local independent stores and visit them. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
DIY Kitcgens / Ikea and install it yourself. It's not that hard
Cost us £4k fitted by me, inc worktops (not fitted by me) not inc appliances, would have cost £12k in Homebase (DW used to plan them so knows the cost accurately.
If you really can't fit it yourself (check videos online) then look for a local joiner who does installs. I had one locally fit the qorktops and he does kitchen installs. Did a great job of my iroko worktops too!0 -
Where do you live? What is your budget?0

I live in Oldham, and was looking at spending around 8-10k. Fine line was independent, but wasn't keen on anything on show. Really looking to get a design first, as not to sure what to put where etc.0

Would it be worth going to B & Q or Magnets with your measurements and get them to do a plan for you. You don't have to buy from them but this would be a starting point for ideas.0
