Debt not recorded on Credit file

Hi, i have been in a 0% interest debt repayment schedule with Lloyds since roughly 2002, I got into some trouble with loans and it was all consolidated into one monthly repayment.

I've since signed up to Experian, Equifax and Noddle (This month) and none of these show this outstanding debt of £6k or my monthly repayments to them since 2002 for £50 p/m.

Now i'm looking to either get the debt written off somehow or to make a F&F offer to completely discharge the loan.

My question is why doesn't this show on any credit file and also if i paid this in a F&F offer, would the Partial settlement show on my file even though there's no record at the moment of it whatsoever??

Thanks in advance for your responses!

I don't personally know the answer, but I'm sure some punter will be along soon to offer an opinion. I would suggest you do whatever it takes to keep this data off the credit reports.

Yes that's what i'm thinking, my fixed mortgage rate finishes Dec 2015 so i'm trying to get my credit score up to scratch before then, so i can get the best deal, so i don't want to get any blemishes on my credit score. I'm hoping to pay it all off soon but if i did pay it off there's the question would they put it down as settled then, where it would then maybe come out that it was a debt agreement and have a negative effect on my credit file? I think i may be better just paying the monthly amount and not make any more contact unless i don't need any credit for 6 yrs. Lloyds haven't contacted me for years reference this account, so i'm just paying it all off bit by bit with no bother, no letters, no nothing, but i wanted to get rid of all remaining credit and just have the mortgage to pay off every month.

It should've been defaulted years ago, which is why it doesn't show. It shouldn't reappear either.

So if i pay it off or make a F&F offer then it shouldn't show up anything on my credit file you say?

Nope - but if you refuse to pay it off and they successfully apply for a CCJ then that would be on your file for 6 years.
