new shed roof

My shed needs a new roof, it has at the moment a tongue and grove wooden roof covered with bitumen roofing felt.
Would MDF flooring covered with roofing felt be suitable or should I use corrugated roofing sheets similar to
http://www.wickes.co.uk/Black-Corrugated-Bitumen-Sheet-950x2000mm/p/240039
and do away with the wood?
I would only need 3 of them if the ridge would allow a 10 cm gap at the roof ridge.

If the tongueand groove is still good, I'd leave it on and cover with a single rubber sheet roofing membrane. I've done my garage with this stuff and it's very good.0

Whatever you do do NOT use MDF it's not suitable for outdoor use at all.
If the tongue & groove is not rotten I would lay those sheets you link to on top of it......would give a nice bit of insulation.

Even though they seem quite expensive if you were going to get new T&G and roof felt that might be more, and in the long run the corrugated stuff will be better, Check what it says about the degree of drop and giving it plenty of support.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I used these(or similar) and still going strong a few years later.
you can get away with quite a gap at the ridge if you use a ridge piece.
Be carefull nailing if you miss you will have a hole they are soft.0 -
You could use exterior grade MDF such as Medite but it is expensive.
Modern budget sheds usually have a roof made from OSB covered with mineral felt ; this would be my choice for a cheap replacement.Forgotten but not gone.0 -

And yet the sheds pour them out by the thousand constructed with MDF sheet tops, bloody scandalous in my view.
I'd use T&G again if existing needs replacing, then maybe slater's felt under the green bitumen top layer.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
