    Ugh, it is piddling down with rain AGAIN which scuppered my plans to go car booting (buying, or at least looking, not selling this time - always on the lookout for suitable bits to resell in my unit). I don't often find much and tend to have to rely on auctions.

    I haven't picked the runner beans still, and don't fancy doing it when the plants are all wet. Did I mention before that I planted them in such an awkward spot :o and they have grown so huge, that getting to pick them is like being swallowed by a triffid at the best of times :rotfl:

    Heading out to DD's (again - we don't normally see so much of them!) as they want some help with some work they are doing in the garden. So, they will provide lunch and dinner today :)

    Other than that, I must see to the chickens before we go, and a NSD is on the cards as I don't need anything :D

  • DFW things for today:

    * [STRIKE]taking dgd to town to buy her some shoes - courtesy of db as a late birthday present :A[/STRIKE]

    Ok think that's my lot x

    Ha ha have done more than I thought! Ended up having a takeaway last night (came out of tax rebate money :T) :naughty: but also :drool: enough left over for lunch today so just an easy tea tonight :T

    Yesterday I got my tax breakdown for 2013-14 through & am due a rebate of £145 :T so treated dgd to a couple of tops & a pair of leggings for £11 :D

    Things for today:

    * hang up washing
    * flylady upstairs
    * get oh to sand more doors - hopefully 2? oh no he has decided we need to paint one door before we do another.... This house renovation is the slowest known to mankind!
    * make sultana muffins for pack lunches during the week
    * make veg curry to use up veg before it perishes
    * go check the paint before oh goes to B&Q & buys things we already have!
    * Fill massive gaps around bath & door frame
    * hopefully dropping dgd off to her mother for the day
    * do some crocheting tonight :T
    * pick blackberries & either use them or freeze

    Ok that's all the time I have. Have a lovely Sunday everyone x

  • Hello all,

    Having an unusually sociable weekend. Was out to eat at friends on Friday and Saturday evenings - great to catch up with old friends and low cost (took some drinks with us).

    Have also changed library books, planned next weeks meals and just needed to get some veg from the market, laundry all line dried, ironing done. Had a couple of long dog walks.

    Spent most of today helping son to apply for apprenticeships - there seem to be lots he is interested in.

    Picked the first few pears - bit early I think but I do like them crunchy.

    Otherwise am about to sit and watch some TV (maybe knit - most likely snooze) then I'll make a roast using bargain joint from the freezer.

    Enjoy what's left of the weekend x
