Asda bad customer service!

Still reeling from my online shopping experience with Asda! Switched to them to save some money but this what I got (detailed in my complaint email below):
I am writing because I would like to escalate my complaint made to your customer services telephone team regarding the disgusting service I received from one of your delivery drivers. I was offered a £5 voucher to shop online and I don't feel this is acceptable as I do not wish to risk having my order delivered by the same rude driver again. He could barely say a word to me despite me being friendly and thrust the receipt in my hand with no explanation. When I asked if there were any substitutions he just said 'looks like it'. I hesitated before getting my shopping (I have a bad back) and he said: 'well it's yours' to imply 'don't expect me to pass it to you' so I had to bend down repeatedly in front of him as he did not step back and stood directly in front of me - as a woman this made me feel very uncomfortable. After wordlessly implying I should sign, he then stormed off without even saying goodbye. I felt like I had done something wrong! I feel really let down by Asda, this atrocious experience is the first time I have shopped with you in years; I normally shop online with Waitrose or Sainsburys and the difference is remarkable. So no, I do not want a mere £5 voucher to shop online with you to experience the same again and wish for this complaint to be escalated to the next stage.
Anyone got any similar experiences to cheer me up? You've got to laugh really... I await my response!

I would say that maybe he was just having a bad day? We all have them to be fair and a lot of those drivers take some dreadful treatment from customers so I dont blame them when I get the odd miserable one (which is always Tesco drivers)
It seems you have got very worked up over quite a trivial matter in my opinion.
Your letter will probably lead to an investigation and the driver will probably get reprimanded or sacked so your job is done.
Why should Asda give you any more than £5?I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I've worked in retail before and he definitely won't get sacked from a single complaint. Plus you weren't there, so you don't know what it was actually like. You may be happy to receive crap service in return for your hard earnt money but most people aren't. It seems you can empathise more with not being a people person.0

I may not of been there but I am fully aware of what some of the drivers are like.
What are you actually trying to get out of Asda?
I assume they have apologised and offered you £5, what more do you want them to do?
pm'd the BG to merge this with your duplicate posting.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Asda drivers can be a bit grumpy some times, they get far too many deliveries to do in the time slots given traffic etc.
Sometimes it is possible for someone to just have a bad day and Asda have even recognised it by giving you a £5 voucher. I don't see what more you can expect? Them to give you a £5 voucher for Waitrose?!
Personally I have had the same bloke deliver my Asda order for quite a few of my order. Now is far more pleasant with me now we have a bit of a joke about how I have only once not had substitutions.0 -

Good question.
You want this complaint escalated to the next level. What outcome do you want?
You've told them their offer of £5 voucher is not acceptable.
What would be acceptable to you?
TBH, I think your complaint was poorly written, too much waffle & hyperbole.0 -
I think thats terrible Stringbean1! Awful customer service from Asda. I shop with them and the drivers have always been very polite and helpful. They all work hard and are pushed for time but it costs nothing to be pleasant. If the others manage it, he should too! I can't believe he stood right in front of you whilst you were bending down to unpack. It must have made you so uncomfortable. Common courtesy would tell anyone to move back a step or two.
I hope your back problem hasn't been aggravated from it. x0
