4 possible mortgage providers - any tips?

I'm thinking of moving house and there are 4 providers with similar mortgage offers - HSBC, Halifax, Nationwide and the Post Office.
Ideally, I'm seeking (recent-ish) experience of ease of the approval process, speed etc of the above 4 providers...

If you haven't sold your house then the question is subjective. As the options may well have changed by the time you have.0

I'm thinking in terms of i've not got my new mortgage arranged nor found my next property yet. My existing property is (essentially) sold.Thrugelmir wrote: »If you haven't sold your house then the question is subjective. Without understanding your situation none of us can assess if you will be approved by any of these lenders.
One client may be accepted in 7 days, another declined on day 1 or day 55. Their experiences will be of little value to you. Only your situation is relevant.I am a Mortgage Broker

It's not an approval question as I believe that I should be ok.
It's if a provider is better avoided due to mistakes, slow processing etc - the kind of thing people with recent experience haveWithout understanding your situation none of us can assess if you will be approved by any of these lenders.

I know what the guys are saying here but I believe your question is do any of these lenders have any current delays in processing?
I received my formal offer from NW this morning after the initial application was made on 05/08 so roughly 8 working days.
I had also spoke with Post Office previously who admitted at least a week in processing delays and Chelsea who advised 5 weeks from application to offer.
Just my experience and as already pointed out will be different for every case.

Does anyone know if there are time limits between applying and re-applying for a mortgage with the same lender?0
