I had my two DD's set up to qualify for the benefits, but realised one (P.O.Savings) was set up for 30th and in certain months would not be paid out before the month end. LLoyds confirmed that for these months would not qualify.
Have had a NIGHTMARE trying to change the date of the DD ( I know you cant change the date, it involved deleting, re-setting up etc. all not working .... I wont go into the detail unless anyone wants me to.....)
So my simple question is ..... my other DD is to my Tesco savings account - could I use my OH's Tesco savings account as the second DD ...Is anybody doing this ?
Any problems with the same organisation originating the DD or the receiving account belonging to someone else?
As always ...thanks in advance.....

Do you have a Tesco Internet Saver or Instant Access Savings account? Whichever one you have, apply for the other account and use that as your 2nd DD.
As long as you have 2 separate monthly DDs then all should be ok, i.e. 2 different DD mandates.
I'd avoid dates between 27th - 31st.:grouphug:

I seem to remember the Tesco DDM (or other info on their site) asks you to confirm that you are the/one of the account holders?
However, I also recall that someone on here says they've done it successfully?
But why not be certain of getting the benefits and set up another Tesco savings account in your own name?0 -

No problems. That's just how we do it. My sole Tesco account pulls each Lloyds account for £6.55 each month; the wife's sole Tesco account does the same. That way we meet the conditions and extract the interest in one operation.
As for the date-of-the-month business - well, we all live and learn

I too thought (as Tesco say on their website that DDs should come from an account in the same name) that it couldn't be done. However, I have successfully set up a DD from my Lloyds Club to OHs Tesco account, and from OHs Lloyds Club to my Tesco account. I didn't think it'd work, but it has.0 -
I too have managed to pull a DD from my Wifes account into my Tesco account, but when I tried to set up a DD on my Mum's account it said that further checks were needed, and it never did show up in my Tesco account.
So it might work, but then it might not!0 -

Hi nearlyretired2004,
As one or two people have mentioned, the two Direct Debits can be to the same recipient (Tesco in your case), however, they must appear as two separate Direct Debit mandates on your account.
Hope this helps,

Hi slinga,
Just to confirm what Ed-1's posted, in order to qualify for the credit interest, the two Direct Debits need to each be paid once a month.
Hope this helps,
