Hi
Im new to traveling abroad and I was wondering how I could go about finding the most cost effective way of flying from Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland to Brisbane in Australia, I am planning to travel in either September, October or November.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ryanair to Gatwick www.oasishongkong.com to HKG and then a Qantas or Cathay Pacific flight to BNE
or a through ticket to BNE via Manchester or London Heathrow in November when demand is low.
Travel agents such as www.trailfinders.com sometimes have good deals, incl flight+hotel if you want a stopover in the Far East.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Try this,
http://www.lowfareflights.co.uk/Brisbane-Australia-Flights.asp
Gives you the dates for the cheapest fares too! You may want to consider getting a flight to the UK as it is not listing your airport choices on this website.
Also, here is a couple of flight comparison websites
www.sidestep.com
www.flightcomparison.co.uk0 -
Etihad have just started flying from Dublin, so they might have good introductory offers - although they only fly onwards to Sydney, it'll be easy to pick up a cheap flight from there to Brisbane. As Richard said, check out a good Dublin based agency - I think there is a Trailfinders in Dublin?0

Thanks for those responses.
To be honest I am not the best in the world at using those sites to find ticket prices and after searching for some time I only garnered very limited success.
Out of interest what sort of prices would I be looking at for a return flight to Brisbane for two adults in November?0 -
I think a travel agent such as http://www.trailfinders.com/address.nsf/ContactUS?readform&TravelCentre=Belfast
may be able to offer some possibilities. Sometimes they have special deals.
BTW www.evaair.com fly Heathrow to Brisbane via Taipei.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Etihad is launching flights to Brisbane in September so the Dublin flight to Abu Dhabi might have a feasible connection...0
