Surely this is taking the (text removed by MSE Forum Team) a bit...

I was stuck behind every slow driver this morning. Someone doing 30 in a 40 zone, someone doing 30 in a 50 zone, and finally someone doing 20 in a 30 zone.

The last one I wasn't so miffed about at first because there was a fair bit of traffic. The traffic eventually moved on, leaving a big gap in front of her car but she was still going 20mph. I was wondering why she was driving so slow, then I found out.

The reason?

She was reading a book whilst driving!

  • Did you manage to get her licence plate number? If so, report her. Because that is insanely dangerous.

I agree, if you have her license number please report her as this is dangerous driving and she could potentially kill someone with her lack of consideration for the road.

I should have noted it down but didn't get chance *hits head on desk*

The Highway code by any chance?
  • And unless you get evidence surely that person will deny it - paradox as using a mobile to take photographic evidence is against the law for a driver

The driver using a mobile phone to take a picture might be against the law if it is determined that the driver does not have full control of the vehicle at the time.
The law covering the use of mobile phones whilst driving is very specific and it only covers the telephone function of the device and not any other functions such as a camera

I'm not in any way implying that using a camera is safe or should be attempted by any driver, simply pointing out that doing so doesn't automatically mean that the driver has broken any law.
