Switching for £100 incentive.

I don't have any spare current accounts to switch to get the £100 incentives. Someone else suggested on here to open a new current account somewhere and then transfer that, has anyone else done this and found it works ok. It does look extremely obvious what you are doing so I wondered if anyone else has done this and still got their bonus.

Search the forum there has been at least 20 posts about this in the last month, many have done exactly what you propose to do!!

A bank manager recently tried to up-sell an account to me . . .

Don't worry about paying your salary in, he says . . . just transfer funds in and out from other accounts . . . (I put on my best surprised look) and said "Oh I never thought of that" :rotfl:said I'd think about it (I wont, there's no switching incentive)

make sure what ever account you open to move over that you go to quidco or topcashbank (personaly i would use quidco, lower rates but never had issues with then , where as topcashback i have loads of outstanding claims) and select based on that so you get some cashback :) then use the switching service to get more cash :)

I have not seen any cashback at Quidco/TCB or anywhere on top of the bank's joining incentive.

I was referring to opening an account which has no incentives directly from the bank then using it to switch...

santander 123 will give you £35 via quidco
    Flex direct £35
    flex account £35
    santander everyday current account £33

    http://www.quidco.com/bank-accounts/

open one or multiple of the list above then use them to switch :)

watch out for the exact T&C's!!!!

PS: if you do use it and havent signed up use this link (http://www.quidco.com/user/367138/1880385/ ) . I have set it to pay out 50-50 so you will get another £5 joining quidco.

With these two you'd do better to get referred by a friend, and then each of you would get £50. You need to switch two DDs though, whereas I don't think the cashback sites specify DDs?

If you don't have any friends you'll find some on the referrers board. :)
    EDIT: use this link
    Naughty naughty. ;)

dont usually refer people but figured may as well share the love! (if its against rules i will remove it... but felt it was legitimate to the conversation :)

and very true, get over to the referral board if you are going to open a nationwide account! (see I am not saying i will refer you :) )

    Win - Win situation actually.
It will also help the bank managers to meet their targets in term of the number of product sold to the customers. Thus the possibility of getting promoted or earning bonus ....

Once the account is open noone will really looks whether the ac will be using properly or not ...
