Does a new insurance policy alert debt collectors.

Hmm, so am pretty much in sticky waters as was hoping to move in with my aunt, till my debts are sorted and the last thing I wanted was debt collectors coming to knock on her door. It would freak her out, grrr.
You do realize, don't you, that they can take you to court by sending the documents to your last known address? Hiding does nothing to stop enforcement action in this way.
Why don't you want to pay back what you owe, anyway?0 -
No chance of repaying your debts then.0

Of course you could always pay your debts like the rest of us and then you wouldn't be looking over your shoulder at all.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
You could rent an accommodation address for a few months to tide you over. Then you need not give your aunt's address to anyone. Then if a debt collector shows up all they will be met by is a receptionist that signs for deliveries.0

It's strange, you seemed upset on another thread at the idea that an insurance company could renege on an apparent agreement, yet here you are advising someone how to do the same.
Morals are strange things, aren't they?0 -

Not in the least. Unlike some I do not jump to conclusions about a person's circumstances. I think you are very cynical to suggest that the OP is up to no good, It could just be that he will be able to save quite a bit if he moves in with Auntie and money that was going on rent and bills will be available for servicing the debt.
As for my circumstances if you read the thread you will see that thus far the insurance company have not said a word and it is the intermediaries that are the issue.0 -

Well no, not when they posted "Hello, I am hoping to have some of my debt statute barred by next year. Now if I was to move adress, and change my insurance adress, would it alert debtors to my new address? please."
That rather shows that they are hoping to stay under the radar until the debts are no longer enforceable.0 -

If you are allowed to do that, what is your problem? Personally I did not agree with people getting money back for various bank charges a few years ago but so what? I am not in charge and neither are you!0
