PPI on Visa card

My husband is off work sick at the minute and he phoned his visa card up to pay the minimum payment and they told him he had PPI on the card which he didn't know he had. If he used it as he's off sick can he stay claim they mis-sold it?

Thanks

    Hardly.
What reasons would he have for mis-sale if he claimed on it? He couldn't really complain that he neither needed nor wanted it, for example!

Usually an "either/or" situation, I think.

He can still complain but they can void the policy preventing the claim from being paid out.

Generally, people dont complain about things they intend to use or have used. However, nothing stops him from making a complaint.
