People at a similar address showing on my credit file?

Hi,

I recently signed up for a months trial with a company to see my credit file.

It all seems to be up to date but in the Electoral register section my neighbours are listed

We live in 5 roadname road and they live in 5A roadname road,

Why are they showing on my credit report, should I apply to have them removed, if so what is the easiest way to do this?

The error could be by the credit reference agency or could be with the council.

I would first speak to the council to explain the problem and see if their records are correct and have the 2 properties listed separately, and if so that the neighbours names are not listed as being at your address.

If it is correct at the council I would then contact the credit reference agency and explain the error and ask them to correct your file.

Minor terminology (forgive the pedantry); it should read "their file on you"

Thanks I am in Northern Ireland and the Land and Property service have them listed as two separate Properties

It looks like a should contact the credit reference agency,

    Thanks

Not just if they are listed as 2 individual properties, but also whether the e/r is correct at the council.

If you do just contact the credit ref agency then I would check that the error isn't repeated with the other 2 agencies.
