Taxi or hire to get to maimi port

After we arrive at Miami, is it best to just jump onto a couple of taxis (six of us) or hire a minivan in advance. Any recommendations of transport companies to hire from. It is just to get us down to the port.

Is this from Miami airport to Miami seaport (for a cruise, etc)? If so, you could try a Google search for:
miami airport to port
That lists some options plus the web sites for the airport and the seaport.
