Tax Foreclosure demand from USA

We have just received Tax foreclosure demand from a firm of solicitors from North Carolina today. A firm of solicitors, acting on behalf of the City, collecting unpaid tax, has written to us in UK about a property owned by a person with my name. This letter has to be responded to in 30 days and We have to write to the District Court and copy this firm of solicitors of our reply.
I have checked, this firm, seems genuine, est since 1918 etc. On google, there does seem another chap with exactly my name ( first and second) living in North Carolina. And I have never been to North Carolina or owed any property there.
Any suggestions of what to do next would be greatly appreciated.

You have to reply within 30 days?
By which authority?
Personally the most I'd respond is by telling them get lost - worded slightly more eloquently of course.
I know debt collectors can go on fishing expeditions but this takes the biscuit. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Just file it in the bin.0

So send two letters.
Just tell them politely that "This is not the sanya1995 that you are looking for".
It sounds like you have a very distinctive name which they thought could be tracked internationally. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Just reply referring them to Arkell vs Pressdram
