Sorry, but i think you're it's unreasonable to feel annoyed at them.
They would have told you it would need a whole day, because potentially it might take that long to fix it. Sometimes you get lucky and find it straight away, other times you need to strip things to check visually and it takes hours.
The machines that regas the air con normally do a self diagnostic pressure test on the systems. If it's taken almost a year for it to fail, then the leak is probably so minor the machine can't detect it.
The price for a regas that lasts almost a year and the price of fixing it isn't too bad overallAll your base are belong to us.0 -

Exactly, once it's got a new condenser then it's time to look for the other leak. As it was a very slow leak, taking a year to make the system inoperative, having the car for a day isn't unreasonable. They've got to pressurise the system with a gas with UV dye in it and then look for a leak with a UV light. They obviously need to replace the condenser first.0 -
OP, you need to stop moaning and get on with your life.0

Why did you edit your OP? A bit pointless really since it was quoted in the thread. :rotfl:0 -

Immature selfish tw*t thats what you are. You've been caught out, had it pointed out to you that you're wrong so to save yourself the loss of face you've edited and removed your original complaint?
GROW UP!0 -
!!!!!!?
Someone posts with a (probably unreasonable) complaint.
Regulars explain (unusually pleasantly for here) why the complaint is likely to be unreasonable.
OP accepts that, removes complaint (as far as they're able) and moves on.
People then have a go at them for doing that!.
I say again, !!!!!!???????0 -

Hate it when the original post is edited ... makes the whole thread useless. At least someone quoted it.
OP you have no idea what you are talking about. Get someone to explain how air con works and what the possible types of failure are.0 -

Agreed it's annoying, but hardly something to launch personal abuse at the poster over!
As for seeking explanations, they did (here) and have had the possibble failures etc explained. They seem to have accepted those explanations and moved on

The op is clearly unable to admit any form of fault - which their initial post quite clearly showed. They've deleted that and want to pretend that it never happened and that they are clearly perfect. Doesn't matter that they've given the mechanic a hard time etc.0
