Hi All
My husband used finance and believes he was mis sold PPI to buy a car in 2003. He has contacted the provider of the finance (fordaquire) however they have said that it is the responsibility of the car dealer (CD Brammal) that sold him the car. This company no longer exists as they were bought out by another company (Evans Halshaw). Can anyone advise us as to what we do next?
Many Thanks

Give up.
The dealer has liability for the sale as they sold it. However, it is pre-regulation (Jan 2005) and most dealers were not regulated prior to that. So, even if they existed, they could still refuse to look at your complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

CD Bramhall still exists. It just happens to be part of Pendragon Plc which has simply decided (I think) to use the Evans Halshaw name for its franchised dealerships.
Not that it makes a blind bit of difference. Still a pre-regulation sale.0 -
