CPP Payout backdated

I was mis sold a CPP policy and cancelled it in 2006. I received one of those forms advising that I may have been mis sold the policy. I filled the form in and returned it following advise on here. Got my payment today for the princely sum of £23. They have only gone back to 2005, whereas i had this policy well before that, possibly as far back as 2000.
Can I claim further back than 2005, if so, how do i go about it and what will I do with the payment already received?

If you have statements prior to this showing Cpp paid, send copies in and ask them to look at this again.
If you have no statements, send a request for all info they hold on you and enclose a cheque for £10, this may throw up statements.

Use the money as they have paid you to date.

The CPP refund scheme will not payout prior to 2005 and you will waste your time contacting them again.

Sorry Amersall, that is not correct. The CPP refund scheme does not cover any time prior to 2005.

Thanks all. Can't remember who sold me the CPP and don't have any statements that far back, so will leave it at that.

You can probably find this out from CPP simply by calling them. They should have this information on file.
