I have inherited 766 Santander shares. What is the cheapest way to sell them? I was told Equiniti have a £45 minumum charge but that there is an online srvice which costs just £15 plus 1% but I can't find it anywhere. Grateful for any advice.

I dealt with some Santander shares as executor to my late uncle and they're the one set of shares which I would advise selling directly through the registrars. There are a whole set of complicated tax implications which come with them, including the requirement to lodge a form in Madrid to declare you are non-resident in Spain. That alone cost me £29.50 using a third party recommended by Santander. My recollection is that Equiniti will deal with that for you if you use them (but do check before you go ahead). Each of the dividend options has a different tax implication too so, as they won't be in an ISA, I'd get rid of them as soon as possible!
Edit: Having checked the details, it's Santander Sharedealing which will help you with the tax formalities if you sell through them as I understand it. This page explains the requirements on sale of the shares (form 210):

Transfer to X-O (which I think Equiniti make a charge)
It will then cost you £5.95 to make the trade once X-O hold your shares.0
