Ppi can't rember what loans companies I have used

Hi. I want to see if I am due any ppi back. I have seen many posts saying claim yourself. The thing is I'm not sure what loans I've had over the years and dates. So would it be better to ask a company to search these for me or can I research these myself?

A CMC cannot search these for you, you would still have to inform them of all the details and fill in the forms they send you. They don't have any magical powers.

A CMC cannot do anything you can't do yourself, for free.

There is no database or list of loans or credit cards - a claims company will simply ask you to provide all the details and then claim for you and keep 40% of any refund so you end up doing all the work anyway.

Check noddle.co.uk (free credit record check) or Experian/Equifax (sign up for free trial or use the £2 report) and it should show you all the stuff from the last 6 years. After that it's just your memory or your records.

No one is due PPI back, if you paid it and you were miss sold it then you have to make a complaint with evidence to back your complaint up.


If you cant remember what loans you had, or if you did indeed pay PPI, how are you going to remember if you were miss sold, let alone prove it.......
