they fit in the hole but can not turn them so the pins will stick in and get electricity

did spend 20 mins on it .

I am sendning it back but just wondering , if there is only a height difference, why will it not fit?

Comments

  • there could well be a difference in height.
if the lamps are going into a 'shrouded' spot light cowl (ie one that covers the whole lamp leaving just the light emitting front open) then they may not fit. the spotlights that only have a collar covering the base of the lamp will generally take any type of gu10 socket lamp. i presume your first link is the lamp that the fittings originally came with?

Some GU10 fitting were such a tight fit that they provided a rubber suction device to stick on the bulb.
Stuck it on turned the bulb then removed the sucker !!!
What you need is one of those I think.......
Or nick the sucker off one of the kids bows & arrows set !!!
  • mine is tp24 and looks like below

so guess I can only get led for it to work , right ?

the base looked the same to me

you can get 4 of those cheap led for £9 while £14 is the cost for 2 of tp24 .
