Cancelling a sofa purchase, is it possible?

A friend of mine went to DFS and saw a display model sofa, and committed to buy it. They then found out that they could buy the sofa brand new for the same price, but excluding a footstool that came with the display model that they didn't want anyway. However they weren't told this and didn't realise it until they came home.
Apparently DFS won't cancel the transaction, so they're forcing her to honour it. Is there any recourse? A cooling off period etc.? It's being paid for by an interest free credit deal.

No cooling off period or right to cancel as the purchase was done in store. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
