A level results

Options
Anyone else waiting for their kids to get their A level results? (Or their own?)

We are off to get DDs shortly but think she has got into the university she wanted (quite hard to be sure on UCAS)

As someone who didn't get the results they wanted many years ago, I know it isn't the end of the world, but it sure feels like it at the time.

What message is UCAS displaying? I might be able to help make sense of it. Good luck!

    Thanks for replying.

It's s little unusual because it is a drama school.

It says the place is confirmed and was updated on Sunday, so it should be ok (i work in a different university and i know we get results the sunday before). The confusion is because it had said it was confirmed before.

She is very laid back and has dismissed me from her room cos I was freaking her out :D

Mind, watch this space for an "empty nest" thread in a few weeks :rotfl: ( not really, I still have one at home and I am really excited for her to start something she has wanted to do since she was 9 years old).

I remember when my son got his, he thought he had really screwed up in one of his exams so we looked on his ucas first thing and it confirmed he had his place at his first choice, so then when he got to college he didn't care what was in that envelope.

    Good luck everyone today.

Good luck all who are waiting. Although it's a bit late for luck now ;)

Morning, dd1's sixth form was open from 7.30am so we've been down already, had tears and upset then happiness and relief when Ucas showed even though she had missed her grades (she's had a lot of anxiety and panic issues which affected her) she has been offered a place at her insurance choice, waiting for the first choice to update then we will know where she is off to and when!

    Good luck to all xxxxx

Not waiting for results but wanted to say good luck to everyone I remember how stressful it can be.
Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A
  • It's almost thirty years since I received my A level results - where have the years gone?!

Good luck to everyone receiving their results today, and best wishes to their parents, either celebrating and helping to sort everything for university in the next few weeks, or commiserating and helping your children to find alternative places. A busy day for many.
