Tesco Built Fence on My Land

Hi folks,
First time poster, please tell me if I have posted in the wrong place!
Tesco are building a store next to my house, they've taken an old plant hire building and have refurbished it.
Just to give context, my wife and I recently purchased our first home after our recent marriage. I took pride in power washing around 20 years of grime from the patio on the front, side and back of house. Took me two days and a lot of nagging but I got it done! Three days later, the contractors started a 2 week sandblasting jolly. The noise was horrible, especially as I work night shifts, being unable to sleep is rubbish but all in the name of progress. Afterwards there was a very thick layer of 50yr old paint, dust and dirt on top of my garage, my patio and on my windows. I complained and Tesco said they'd sort it and to their credit they are scheduled to clean it tomorrow.
However what I can't let lie is when I got home today I noticed a new edition to my garage. A fence has been built across the old delivery drive way next door and they've decided without my permission to just plonk it on the front of my garage. Now I recently only went over the deeds to my property and we share the walls as neighbours however they've not only taken the wall as their own but a small slice of my land too! I know it sounds incredibly petty but my reasoning is, if I had done the same to a corporation such as Tesco, I would be able to hold my breath for the length of time it took before I received a letter from a solicitor asking me to remove it.
See the pictures below, I know it may sound petulant but do you think I have a genuine complaint? Please note the link is broken due to being a new poster, please copy and paste into browser.

Have they annexed your land, or just built a fence that denies you access to your own land? Either way, I think it's fair to get the situation resolved earlier rather than later - 'Hi, your contractors appear to have made a mistake, could you get them to remedy it please?'. For all anyone knows, you may be planning on growing honeysuckles and passion flowers in that area.0

I have been here with neighbours annexing small pieces of land and you are made out to be a nutter when you complain (I'm still down about a metre in places) so I know how you feel.
Nut my thought on this (purely based on the photos) does that fence not give you bit more privacy and security? Think about it before you go in all guns blazing.0 -
They've been reasonable so far so why not ask them. Tell them your confused as to their intentions as they've come on to your land and put up a fence on it.
Thode few inches may come in handy one day if working on a car for example. Or see if they offer financial recompense instead.0 -
You need to get it sorted in case it causes problems if you move.0

Maybe you could charge them rent for keeping their fence on your land?
That's a nasty looking crack down the garage - I presume that was there beforehand.0 -

Our properties both face a road and the fence has no kind of bearing on my privacy, basically it is where they used to have a driveway so just imagine a neighbour building a fence next door over their drive way but it overlapping in your garden. It really isn't anything major it just seems very cheeky to not ask for my permission and to attach it directly to my garage!0 -

It was in place before yeah. I had a friend who works for a maintenance company. Said it should be fine. Though he is pretty new to the business. You think it's something I should take more notice of?
Yeah maybe I should, I'll be reasonable and only charge them points in their loyalty scheme!0 -
If you move or knock down the garage to build a house one day, that extra foot will be worth a lot!
Indeed, I actually want to knock down the garage eventually but no plans have been actually drawn up. Maybe it's a case of sorting it now, they could always object to me taking down my own garage down the line if it affects their fence.0
