How Come....?

 I'm with AOL, and occasionally it goes up the swannee, so I use Internet Explorer.

How comes this happens? And why is browsing MSE faster on explorer than on AOL, despite the same server being used?

In which case, should I get rid of AOL?
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Do you use anything within AOL (shudder!) that you can't use IE for?

If not, get rid (Good luck!) and crack on.

BTW, AOL is a !!!!! to get rid of completely off your system.

Have to agree, you should use (if possible) absolutely no software from AOL.

As the game site Game Revolution always says...." Dear Unfortunate AOL Subscriber......." :rotfl:

It's more difficult to get rid of than moles in your garden :D

Best/Easiest way to get rid of AOL is to do a complete fresh install.

Okay, so everyone's agreed, AOL are not the superest. But which way should I go? Tiscali looks OK? Shall I go for it then?

Nobody has said anything about changing providers (that's a separate issue). Just don't use their software wherever you can. Nobody says you have to use their browser for example or even have it installed.

As superscaper has pointed out, it's not about changing your ISP, just use decrapifier and get rid of all AOL software.

If you do switch.... don't go Tiscali - they are almost as bad and consistantly get slated for being a horrendous ISP. Just check their email issues that were reported lately.
Faith is believing what you know ain't so...
