JSA Fast pay

Went to the Job Centre today to resign back on after my holiday. I am currently under hardship because of a previous sanction. I was told if I ask for a fast payment because of my circumstances would stand a good chance.of getting it. Today the job centre told me it's not guaranteed but will put me forward for consideration. I have still not heard anything and checked my bank but nothing. I now don't know how I'm going to survive without any money until Monday.

Perhaps whoever paid for your holiday spends could see you through to Monday? Do you have no food in the house? If not you should be able to get a referral to a food bank.

I guess the only thing you can do is call the job centre in the morning and ask if they have considered you.

Or call your local authority council and see if they will give you money.

Hopefully you won't have any 'waiting' days as your claims will be linked. I think even a fast payment takes a day (as opposed to the 3 working days).

Obviously check again in the morning - if you can - but in the meantime you're best requesting either a food bank referral voucher, or local authority hardship/disctretionary funds, as others have suggested.

Are you aware how long you were sanctioned for?
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
