Thanks everyone for your advice. Looking at Neff at the moment. If you purchase before end of December they are offering a pan set as well, so may well go with them.

The induction wok plates are very expensive.
Not problem if you don't do much wok cooking or have a very flat bottomed wok
AIUI the key features are max power and variability some have very course increments of power settings so not that adjustable.0 -
Try and avoid getting one with the electronic touch controls, plus and minus for more/less heat as well as a selector button to select the appropriate ring. They are appallingly bad design. Miele do one with dial controls which is streets ahead of the others for controllability.0
