You can put on two normal stamps to act as a large letter stamp, that's what we do in work. We buy normal stamps in 100s and just put as many as we need on for the size of the letter

How strange, why would any business lose money on postage when it is such a simple thing to get right?

Basically they order Standard stamps in bulk more than 90% of what we post just takes one standard second class stamp. It is easier for them if we occasionally add a second stamp instead of buying a bulk of large that wouldn't get used very often. It also works out cheaper than having a member of staff taking time out of the day to go to the PO buy them individually.

If it was my own company I would just get a smaller book of seconds but I don't get to make those decisions and if they want to was 13p once or twice a month that's up to them.

Didn't know where else to put it.

I've got to send an A4 letter trough the post (it consists of three pages in total). I will use an A4 envelope. How many stamps will this require?

    Thanks :j

Fold the pages in half, stuff them is a C6 envelope and stick an ordinary first or second class stamp on it.

Unless it's more than 5mm thick (I'll assume not) it's going to class as a large letter...
The 5mm thickness limit is for standard letters.
Large letters can be up to 25mm thick.
