Help getting a refund

Hi all,
Hope i have put this in the right place. My wife recently bought a dress from mypromdress.co.uk thinking this was a site based in the uk. She ordered it with a credit card and was promised delivery in i think 10-15 days. Delivery took longer then quoted so she had to buy another dress for the party. While we was waiting for the dress all emails asking about delivery etc were answered within a day.
Well as i said the dress did not turn up in time but when it eventually did turn up the size we requested was a 12. i am not expert in womens clothing but my wife said it would struggle to fit a size 6. So we emailed asking for details to send the dress back for a refund. This was last friday and i have emailed 2 more times since then with no reply. Also it appears the size is actually based in Hong Kong and no the Uk. The price of the dress was £97.
Does any one have any advice on getting a refund for this?
Thanks in advance

You need to read up on Distance Selling regulations, which allows you to return goods within a certain time scale and get your money back, but you would have to pay P & P

Similarly I need a refund from a company called Glitzy Boutique (Glamorous Outfits). I ordered a dress for £75 and returned it within their 7 day period as it did not fit properly. The refund was due within 30 days so the end of May and I have still not received it. The most recent email I received from them is attached and I don't know what to do. They are still advertising on facebook etc. which is incredibly frustrating. Any advice on how to get the refund would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
"Dear Customer,
On behalf of LittleMissGlamour.com & GlamorousOutfits.com, I would like to offer our most sincere apologies for the mistakes made while handling your orders. It was a gross oversight for which we accept full responsibility. We try our best not to make mistakes, but when they happen, we try our best to fix them!
I'm pleased to inform you that the recent technical difficulties at LittleMissGlamour.com & GlamorousOutfits.com have been resolved. For the vast majority of our customers, our services have returned to normal.
CardSave - Our merchant account provider that processes the card payments has suspended our merchant account leaving us unable to access the funds or access the facility to refund our customers. However, given the scale of this incident, the process continues and a small percentage of outstanding transactions are being processed over the coming days. There will be further reconciliations to some customer orders as a result and I'd like to thank you for your continued patience.
Of course, we realise you have questions that need to be answered and I want to make sure those answers are delivered promptly and to your complete satisfaction.
Will I be refunded?
Yes. LittleMissGlamour.com & GlamorousOutfits.com have made a firm commitment that no customer will be left without their product or a full refund as a result of this issue.
How will I be refunded?
The quickest way to attain a refund is to contact your bank card provider. The money you paid is fully insured and protected.
Will I receive any additional compensation for the disruption?
Given the level of disruption and the recognition of the inconvenience caused to you, our customer, we are developing a range of measures that we will discuss with Regulatory bodies, full details of which will be issued shortly.
What went wrong?
The problem was caused when CardSave the merchant card processor suspended our service. It took time to resolve this problem. The important thing is that this issue has been corrected, although further reconciliations to some customer orders may need to be carried out over the coming weeks."0 -

Afraid not, the correct board for this type of request is the Consumer Rights Board.

I believe distance selling regs only apply to companies based in UK. It does not cover companies based overseas who post to UK.0
