How to find out which Bank a friend had a credit card with?

Hello I am trying to help a friend to claim for PPI however she doesn't remember which bank she had the card with. Is there anyway I can find out on her behalf? I have thought about a credit check however I did not know the trustworthy ones and also how it would affect her by me doing this (obviously with her permission)
Please can anyone help as I want to help her get the money she would be owed:j

For the last 6 years all the information has to be in her credit files:

I don't have full details, what can I do?- I've forgotten who my loans / cards were with, how can I find out?
- I don't have my PPI account number or terms, how do I check if I had PPI?

If your friend can't remember who issued the cc, how will she remember provable/ valid reasons for mis-sale?
She's not actually owed anything, however recompense may be paid if the policy was in some way unsuitable for her (and if records still exist)I want to help her get the money she would be owed0 -
As previously stated, if within the last 6 years it will be on the credit file: Sign up at Noddle for free. If you can remember the card number Google the first 6 digits.0
