Different meter readings on change of suppliers.
Just received my final electricity bill from my previous suppliers SWALEC the final bill electricity readings are different from the start of the new suppliers something like 50 units difference.
I have provided readings at requests of both suppliers. I contacted SWALEC who informed be that their figurers are based on the readings given by the new supplier. Is this correct? and if I do dispute the readings who would be responsible for sorting out the problem SWALEC or my new suppliers?

In my experience the new supplier was responsible for informing my old supplier of the opening meter reading, and my old supplier would not take the meter readings I gave them until the new supplier confirmed them.0
