    OP Just be really careful when lifting the worktops, especially around any cut areas like the sink area. DO NOT lift it by holding it in the cut out area, lift it away from here, as this will be the weakest point. I deal with |Marble and granite each day with regards to Fireplaces and have experienced it first hand. If you are moving by van, if it has side bars down the side of it inside, stand the worktop in a vertical position and tie it onto these strips. Put plenty of blankets underneath and behind it and use good straps/rope to secure it. It will be safer this way, than lying it down on the van floor, any bumps could break it that way.

    Is it an IKEA kitchen? if so and the age you have said, it will most likely be a FAKTUM one. They have discontinued it, but you can still get parts for them via the link below. They wont stock them instore, to take away. I would act quick though, they are only while stocks last on some things
