0% credit cards

I want to get a 0% credit card which I can use to tie me over for a while for if I loss my job. I've had a look at the terms of the santander 123 0% credit card and it says that you get 0% on purchases from the date that the card's issued. Does that mean that once you've had the card for more than 18 months and you spend on it you won't get the 0% even if you've cleared any old debt on it before the 18 months is up?

oh ok. I thought it was 18 months on the card from the date you purchase a product on the card0

No, so if you buy something 15 months after taking the card out you'd get 3 months interest free on it.0
