My wife had amputation of her left foot standard care and standard mobility awarded June 2013 she had another major operation on her right foot Making her a double amputee in October 2013 because she was already on PIP on at what date does the rate of benefit change to the higher rate (she has finally had the F2F 4 weeks ago)
I reported the change back in October Dwp and Atoss (don't give Atoss we call them) took nearly 40+ weeks to arrange a medical
Thanks in advance for your help

In principle, 'just' being a double amputee is not enough to qualify for the mobility rate of PIP.
Is she expected to be fitted with artificial feet that will enable her to walk 20m at no slower than half normal pace within 9 months?
If so, then this alone may not qualify her for PIP enhanced mobility.0 -
She has the toes and half of the eft foot amputated and the heal on the right foot she also has equine foot (frozen ankles) on both feet so has special shoes, she cannot walk more than a few steps the hospital have no plan for prosthesis0
